Calcium Salt is a dry free-flowing granular product with consistently-sized large granules and minimal fines.
It is a high-energy feed additive that can provide extra energy to animals and is especially suitable for high-yielding cows, pigs and poultry. PalmNutri® Mechanism
The calcium fatty acid salts remain insoluble in the neutral pH conditions of the rumen, preventing their breakdown into calcium and free fatty acids. This ensures that the fiber in feed and the activity of rumen microorganisms are not adversely affected, allowing for the proper digestion of feed fibers and cell wall components.
As the calcium soap passes into the later sections of the cow’s digestive tract, the high acidity in the abomasum triggers the breakdown of the calcium soap, releasing fatty acids that are then effectively digested and absorbed in the small intestine.
