Glycerin Monostearate

Glycerin monostearate is pale yellow waxy solid or powder, insoluble in water and soluble in grease, paraffin, alcohol, chloroform, acetone and diethyl ether. HLB is 3.6-4.2. It is one of the most widely used and the largest consumed additive and emulsifier in oleochemical and daily chemical. It is also a typical nonionic surfactant with the properties of not only emulsifying but also defoaming, anti-oxidant and anti-freezing.

Applications:
Food Processing: As emulsifier and surfactant used in drink, instant food, ice cream, oil, candy
and chocolate to improve stability and emulsify. 
Plastic processing: As plasticizer, lubricant, antistatic agent, anti-fogdrop agent, anti-aging agent 
and foaming agent in the process of EPE & PVC. 
Daily chemical, Medicinal and textile industry: As emulsifier in personal care. Flavors and
fragrances, medicine ointment and frost.
