Barium Stearate

Barium Stearate is a white, odorless powder that is non-toxic and insoluble in water, but soluble in hot organic solvents. It typically has a melting point of around 130-140°C. Barium stearate is known for its excellent thermal stability and acts as a lubricant and release agent in the processing of plastics. It is commonly used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as a heat stabilizer and can improve the flow properties of various polymer formulations. Additionally, barium stearate can enhance the gloss and smoothness of finished products. Its compatibility with other additives makes it a valuable component in coatings, inks, and rubber products.
